WARDOGS Mosin Nagant Loadout — The Budget Recon Build

Published 2026-09-14Updated 2026-09-193 min read

A complete WARDOGS Mosin Nagant setup: 6x scope, level 3 armor, the right backpack, and what to skip until unlocks arrive.

One bolt rifle, one scope, level 3 plates — and the patience to use them.

The Mosin Nagant ($4,500, Recon level 10) is the thinking player's sniper: affordable, hard-hitting and honest about your mistakes. Here is the loadout that makes it work.

The Build

  • Primary: Mosin Nagant with a 6x scope — the sweet spot between target ID and reach. Deeper zoom costs awareness; the 6x keeps you dangerous from 300–800 m without turning the screen into a straw.
  • Sidearm: optional. If you've unlocked the GGX-18, bring it — the Mosin's follow-up is slow and close encounters happen.
  • Launcher slot: the Stinger needs Support-track levels, so most recon lives won't carry one. If your Support level allows it, it's the anti-helicopter insurance.
  • Armor: the level 3 armor set — the standard for anyone expecting to survive a duel at range.
  • Backpack: the 3×5 large pack. Loose ammo, bandages and a resuscitator all need the space.
  • Consumables: one group of bandages plus the free self-resuscitator; both sit next to each other at the vendor.

How to Use It

Zero the rifle to the range you actually fight at (PageUp/PageDown), shoot from ridge lines and tower shadows, and let your marks do half the work — a marked kill pays $800 without a shot fired, as covered in the recon leveling guide. If a target survives the first hit, relocate before the second; the bolt cycle tells everyone where you live.
