WARDOGS opened pre-load ahead of its Steam Early Access unlock: what shipped in the launch build and what the first days look like.

WARDOGS opened its pre-load window on Steam ahead of launch, letting players pull the full client before servers went live. The game unlocked at midnight going into September 11, Singapore time — the evening of September 10 across Western regions — straight into Early Access.
What Kind of Launch This Is
The unlock begins a planned one-to-two-year Early Access period. The launch build is a foundation, not a finale: three factions, 100-player battles on a destructible Eastern-European industrial map, vehicles, logistics and buildable bases — with content and balance tuned season by season. Season 1, which shipped alongside the pre-load, already rescaled progression and repriced several vendors (full details in our Season 1 changelog).
The Pitch in One Paragraph
WARDOGS is a 100-player, three-faction tactical FPS built around an unusual idea: every action in a match pays. Driving supplies, repairing vehicles, building walls and healing teammates all earn cash alongside kills, and your bankroll persists between matches while your loadout does not. That economy — plus proximity voice, destructible cover and a moving hotzone — is the game's whole personality.
