The WARDOGS Season 1 patch: progression rescale, Z20 Lakota balance, voice chat fixes, DLSS toggles and the long stability pass, summarized.

The first season patch landed with pre-load — here's what changed.

Season 1 shipped alongside the pre-load build on September 9, 2026, and it's a substantial patch: a progression rescale, vehicle balance, a stack of voice and server browser fixes, and a long list of crash fixes. The full XP and pricing tables live on our progression page — here's the digest.

Progression

Levels 10–20 slowed dramatically and the curve flattens past 35; the median player now reaches level 20 in 20–25 hours. Artillery moved to Career level 90, the heavy tank to Driver 35, and the Driver track re-ordered to escalate through attack vehicles. XP events shifted too: air-vehicle kills dropped from 300 to 250 XP, and low-value crate resale was nerfed into the ground (25 XP → 1 XP below $75) to kill the farming exploit.

Economy

The FOB kit jumped from $2,500 to $7,500 and the Large Hammer from $1,600 to $2,400, while transport unlocks got cheaper — the Z20 Lakota and URAL thresholds both dropped from $50,000 to $35,000. Builders pay more; movers pay less.

Gameplay and Vehicles

  • Z20 Lakota balance pass plus a fix for its sluggish pitch, and helicopter input damping now applies to every input device.
  • Vehicle turrets gained a maximum operator rotation speed.
  • 155mm and 122mm shells and flare deployables take more loadout space.
  • A DPI issue affecting tank aiming is fixed, and the Lakota chase camera lost some of its rattle.

Performance and Stability

DLSS frame generation can be toggled without a restart; shadow cache refreshes were reduced (less hitching when taking over a character); four separate crash paths got closed, including two in the frame-generation pipeline; and startup is more reliable with clearer early-failure messages.

Reporting and Voice

A new report tracking system weights repeat and bad-faith reporters down, cheater bans are announced in-server when match termination is off, and the voice chat no longer dies permanently after a failed join — stale channels, push-to-talk targeting and re-login all recover.
